IPG Diffuser Base (Augeo Equivalent)

Base for Reed diffusers, Plug-in Air Fresheners and Room Sprays

IPG also known as Isopropylideneglycerol or Solketal is an effective non-hazardous and eco-friendly base solvent for making diffusers.  It is chemically equivalent to the trademarked product Augeo Clean Multi (which we also stock).  However, due to the non-trademarked status, this version of the chemical works out as a cheaper alternative while retaining all the key benefits of Augeo.

It has excellent solubility properties, an even evaporation profile and is non-flammable and non-corrosive making it an excellent choice when formulating reed diffusers.

How do I replace Augeo with IPG?

Easy!  It's just a one-for-one replacement.  Just sub in the exact same amount of IPG Diffuser Base as you had in your original formual.

Do I need to change my documentation?

Safety datasheets and labels should not need to change at all.  IPG has the same CAS number and hazard-statements. The Augeo was likely to already be listed by proper chemical name on your datasheets anyway.  You should however remove references to the Augeo trademark from your product if you have made any and are not using the trademarked version.
